Bernardo Cruz wins the Brazilian Downhill Championship for the 5th time

25/07/2017

High speed and a lot of dirt were part of the 2017’s Brazilian MTB Downhill Championship, at Simão Pereira (Minas Gerais). On the men’s elite category, Bernardo Cruz got to be the fastest rider to go down. Lucas Borba got the 2nd place and Gabriel Giovannini the 3rd.

“I’m really glad that I won. It was an intense race and a hard match with the other riders. The short track was really fun and it required a lot of technique. A lot of rocks and curves. Fortunately, I got a good rhythm and won the championship for the 5th time”, said Bernardo, born in Outro Preto. The rider’s next challenge is at Crankworx Whistler (Canada) for the best trick trophy on the “Whip-Off” Challenge.
