The last weekend was full of great excitement in the opening of the 2018 MXGP championship season, which started in Argentina, in Villa la Angostura, on a track with a very technical ground that required the pilots’ expertise. The jumps attached to the extremely slippery terrain mad it very hard and amusing.
The riders of the Bike It Kawasaki Dixon Racing Team, sponsored by ASW Racing, were in 8th place with Darian Sanayei in the MX2, who started at first place in the first battery of the category. Some problems in the motorcycle got him out of the race in the first laps. The second battery came back and than he got the 3rd place. Tommy Searle, in the MXGP, was regular fighting between the TOP 10 and finishing with an overall 11th position.
“Today I had a good performance. I started well. In the first race, I had some problems with the bike, but soon we changed it and everything was solved. In the second race, I started in 6th and finished 3rd. It was my best finish in the MX2 category .,” Darian stated.
“I had a good weekend in Argentina. I had a good pace, but I fell in the second race. Besides that, the team did a great job and I was feeling good on the bike,” said Tommy.
Now the riders will keep practicing for the next round, continuing intensive training for the MXGP, coached by Steve Dixon, owner and chief manager of the Dixon Racing Team.
