Started on Saturday night, 19, the 2018 season of the Arena Cross Brazil. The races were in the parking lot of the Serramar Mall, in Caraguatatuba, São Paulo, with a live internet and television broadcast.
Jean Ramos, the current two-time champion of the competition, started with asecond place (2-2 on the rounds), behind the Portuguese Paulo Alberto, who also competes riding an Yamaha YZ450F.
“It was a good day, even though I had some difficulties with the suspension system, which we need to adjust, but I felt good. The technical part really undermined me. Nervous, I fought with the bike, so we have some things to improve, I was always close to the lead, we are evolving, the beginning was good.”
Fabio Santos, who participates in the Cross Arena to gain experience in the category of 450cc motorcycles, suffered with minor mechanical problems that undermined his results.
“It was a difficult day here because in the first heat, when I was in the 7th place, I had a problem with the front brakes, I stopped twice in the pit, and in the Arena everything is very fast, it is very difficult to recover. I had another technical problem and abandoned the race! I thank all my sponsors and my team for the support. “, says Fabio.
The second round of the championship is scheduled for June 16.
