Ricardo Martins, from Santa Catarina, started the race for the Brazilian title of Cross Country Rally Super Production category with the 3rd place in the RN 1500, a race that occurred last weekend in Rio Grande do Norte.
Martins also got the 4th place in the general classification of the event (with all categories together).
Yamaha Geração Rinaldi Rally Team rider positively evaluated his debut in the competition, noting that the Brazilian championship is his big goal in 2018.
Ricardo’s next challenge for the Brazilian Cross Country Rally is at the Jalapão 500 Rally, between June 7 and 10, in the interior of Tocantins. Check below what Ricardo Martins said:
“A very well organized race, with an incredible diversity of terrain. We crossed mud, dirt and sand. It was very cool. In the first day, I won the category and made 2nd in the General category. On the second day, I had a problem with the wheel bearing, I had to wait a little longer, but to win it was already very difficult due to the second day. But I’m happy because this problem I had is a very rare one. The bike is perfect, I’m fast, and now it’s still working to get the title, ” said the rider.
