The great highlight was the victory of the athlete Guilherme Müller in the first stage of the Big Biker Cup, held on Sunday, (03/03/2018), in the city of Itanhandu with the presence of more than 1200 athletes.
The three XCO athletes of the Sense Factory Racing Team (Guilherme Muller, Rubens Valeriano and Mário Couto) competed this weekend for one of the country’s most important MTB competitions, the Big Biker Cup. In a long course of 95km, with many saws and strong heat, physical training was fundamental for winning. From the outset, the Sense Factory Racing athletes remained in the elite squad and did a great team strategy job that guaranteed the victory of Guilherme Muller.
Guilherme completed the race at 3:14:25, with an impressive average of about 29km / h. His teammate, Rubinho Valeriano, who was primordiall in this result, finished 5th in the Elite category, which guaranteed two top-five athletes in the elite of the first stage of the Big Biker Cup. Mário Couto, who ran in the sub23 and, even with mechanical problems that forced him to make three stops, won the second place in his category.
Another important result was with the triathlon athlete Clara Carvalho, who participated in the South American Sprint Triathlon Championship in Montevideo, Uruguay. Clara competed in the sub23 category and won a brilliant second place, being the 5th overall, including the elite athletes, which demonstrates once again the immense potential of the Sense Factory Racing athlete.
In all, 5 podiums were won this weekend by the Sense team. Now MTB athletes remain focused on the Pan-American MTB Championship, which will take place on 06, 07 and 08/04 in Colombia. And Clara Carvalho follows in preparation for the Brazilian Sprint Triathlon Championship, which will take place next March 03 in Salvador, Bahia.
